The Odessa is Cárte Crème's Piece 01 — a Goodyear-welted sneaker built the way footwear used to be built: to be taken apart, repaired, and resoled, so it evolves with the wearer instead of being thrown away. Underneath its calm, classic silhouette sits a soft rubber midsole, a small piece of modern comfort hidden inside a timeless shape.
Every pair is handmade in Portugal, close to the people who make it. Full-grain leather uppers, a Vibram rubber outsole, locally sourced remnant leather — components chosen because we can stand behind where they came from, not because they were convenient.
Edition 001 counts forty pairs. Once they are gone, this edition closes. There will not be forty-one.
This is also why we don't call it sold. We call it collected. A piece leaves our archive and enters someone else's life — numbered, catalogued, and, we hope, worn for a long time.
